<p><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 25px; font-size: 17px;">Playing downstairs at the Salmon Bay Eagles was <strong>Go By Train</strong> featuring: <strong>Clay Giberson, </strong><strong>Dan Balmer,</strong> <strong>Charlie Doggett. </strong>Another cool set with a band I have not heard before.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 25px; font-size: 17px;">That is one of the great things about the Ballard Jazz Walk. You get the opportunity to stroll around and hear more bands in an evening than you would any other way.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 25px; font-size: 17px;"><a href="http://www.eyeshotjazz.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/sufferingfheads.jpg"><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-2489" title="sufferingfheads" src="http://www.eyeshotjazz.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/04/sufferingfheads.jpg" alt="sufferingfheads %jazz photo" width="990" height="665" /></a></span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 25px; font-size: 17px;">I finished up early Friday night because I have an early starting gig on Saturday but made sure to close with the amazing <strong>Suffering F**kheads </strong>featuring<strong> Ron Weinstein </strong>on the Hammond B3 Organ with<strong> <strong>Mike Peterson</strong> </strong>playing drums at The Copper Gate.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 25px; font-size: 17px;">Be sure and try and make some of the performances on Saturday, the final day of the Festival. Here is a <a href="http://ballardjazzfestival.com/schedule.php"><strong>schedule</strong></a> for the remaining events.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; line-height: 25px; font-size: 17px;"><strong> </strong></span></p>

<p><strong>Joe Locke Wails on the vibes at the Nordic Heritage Museum on the final night of the Ballard Jazz Festival.</strong></p>
<p>It was such a busy week that I have not had time to post these photos of the<strong> Joe Locke</strong> performance. What a concert. Sorry for the delay. Joe presented a stellar quintet featuring pianist <strong>Darrell Grant</strong>,trumpeter <strong>Thomas Marriot</strong>t, bassist J<strong>eff Johnson</strong>, and drummer<strong> John Bishop</strong>.</p>
<p><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-979" title="thomasmarriott" src="http://eyeshotjazz.files.wordpress.com/2009/05/thomasmarriott.jpg" alt="thomasmarriott %jazz photo" width="990" height="660" /></p>

<p><img src="http://eyeshotjazz.files.wordpress.com/2009/05/joelocke3.jpg" alt="joelocke3 %jazz photo" title="joelocke3" width="684" height="900" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-984" /></p>
<p><img src="http://eyeshotjazz.files.wordpress.com/2009/05/corey-c.jpg" alt="corey c %jazz photo" title="corey-c" width="990" height="660" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-986" /><br />
One last shot of <strong>Corey</strong> on guitar<br />
Soul- jazz guitarist <strong>Corey Christiansen</strong> opened with a quartet featuring organist<strong> Joe Doria</strong>, saxophonist <strong>Mark Taylor</strong>, and drummer <strong>Matt Jorgensen.</strong> What a great Festival. Matt Jorgensen and John Bishop worked their tails off to present another really enjoyable experience of jazz in the heart of <strong>Ballard</strong> the heart of Seattle. I can not wait to see what they come up with next year.</p>
